Baccelaureate Program

The Gamma Beta Omega Chapter cordially invites the class of 2024 to our annual Baccalaureate service.   This event is an inspirational celebration that brings together our graduating seniors, their families, teachers, community members, and leaders to reflect on your achievements and offer words of encouragement as you prepare to embark on the next chapter of your lives.  If you are located in the Wilson County area please plan to attend this memorable event on June 2, 2024 at Beddingfield High School.

Odelle W. Barnes Center for Community Services

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Gamma Beta Omega Chapter, in partnership with Odelle W. Barnes Center for Community Services offers Educational Scholarships  ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 to senior young ladies from the Wilson County public high schools, Early College(s), Wilson Preparatory Academy, and Wilson Academy of Applied Technology. We also offer Book Awards ranging from $500-$600 to seniors (young ladies and men) to seniors from the Wilson County area.

Educational Scholarship

Criteria

  • High School GPA 3.0 or higher (transcript required)

  • Class Rank

  • SAT and/or ACT Score (if applicable)

  • (2) Letters of Recommendation

  • HBCU attendance

  • Essay (300-500 words discussing why you should be considered)

  • Interview

 

Application deadline March 15, 2024

Book Award

Criteria

  • High School GPA 2.5 or higher (transcript required)

  • Class Rank

  • SAT and/or ACT Score (if applicable)

  • (2) Letters of Recommendation

  • Attendance to a 4-year College/University

  • Essay (300-500 words discussing why you should be considered)
